Back in May, I held my first Modern Calligraphy Workshop in San Francisco. It was so fun to be able to share my passion with some of my closest friends and family! Each attendee received a workbook, nibs, pen holder, sumi ink, pencil, and notebook - everything they needed to start writing. We had yummy pastries from b. patisserie and the coffee was flowing (of course). My new friendors April Baytan beautified the space with her flowers and Radostina Joy Boseva captured it all for us. I can't wait to do it all again! I think a summer workshop may call for some adult beverages ;) Until then, enjoy the photos!
Post #2 in our holiday printables series is for a sweet Spa Kit! Inspired by a DIY sugar scrub and body lotion that my friend made for her holiday gifts this year, the printable includes tags and labels for your own version of a spa kit. Throw in items that help you relax, like sugar scrubs, essential oils, nail polish, etc.!
A quick Google search will yield tons of DIY recipes for sugar scrubs and body lotions. Package it up in some tin or glass containers from Specialty Bottle, print out the 2-inch round labels on Avery 22807 labels, package it all up, and top off with a custom tag! Happy gifting!
Post #1 of my holiday gift kit series! With lots of friends and extended family to give gifts to every Christmas, we've had to get pretty creative about giving gifts that are fun/useful but also affordable. If it can be DIY'd, even better! I was recently introduced to homemade Thai iced tea and I was hooked. I can't even tell you how many batches of it I've made in the past month. I knew it would make a fun holiday kit that'll stand out from the usual hot cocoa mixes! It's super easy to make with only a couple of ingredients too.
The kit consists of a tea sock, Thai tea leaves, and the recipe card from our free Thai Tea Kit printable with lettering by yours truly. The tea sock and tea leaves can be purchased at your local Asian market or on Amazon via the non-affiliate links above. Easily package everything in a gift bag or box it up if you're feelin' fancy. Tada!
Donna here, with a new blog to go with the new website! I'll be honest, I'm not the best at blogging but I'm giving it another go. "Eighty percent of success is showing up" (Woody Allen), right? Well, here I am ;) My goal for the blog is to share more pictures of my lettering and calligraphy work, wedding/event ideas and styles that I'm loving, and freebie lettering stuff - like a holiday DIY printables series that I'm starting this week! Maybe pics of my dog, Chloe, too because why not. Fun stuff - thanks for reading!
